Space medicine
The flight and space medicine deals with the preservation of the health of users of aircraft and spacecraft.
It covers the following areas:
- Flight Physiology
- Accidents with aircraft
- Hazards of flying machines (noise, pollution )
- Travel vein thrombosis, jet lag
- Fear of flying
- Medical emergencies, air ambulance, air ambulance, air ambulances and operation of telemedicine

Aviation medicine as additional training for medical specialists
Specialists in the areas of internal medicine, family medicine and occupational medicine may cause an additional qualification in aviation medicine in addition to their specialist designation after successfully completing an appropriate additional training.
The medical training is a matter for the countries medical associations in Germany. A coordinating function to standardize the training courses shall exercise the German Medical Association, but which is no chamber in the legal sense, but merely a working group of state medical boards.
