SpaceUp

SpaceUp is an open meeting to aerospace and space issues. This type of meeting is called unconference, where participants decide on the spot about the content, the presentation schedule and the structure of the event. SpaceUp conferences have already been held in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Together they have the style of an unconference, the Ignite Talks ( short 5 -minute talks ) and the extended coffee breaks, which are used for discussions between the participants.

The first SpaceUp was held at the San Diego Air & Space Museum on 27 and 28 February 2010. It was conducted and sponsored by the San Diego Space Society. This two-day event was accompanied by Spacevidcast media, participants attended among others by NASA, the Google Lunar X-Prize, masts Space Systems, and Quick Launch. The event was organized by Chris Radcliff. Following more SpaceUps in the U.S., in Europe ( Genk, Stuttgart ) and Asia ( Bangalore ) were carried out.
