Spear of Destiny (video game)

Spear of Destiny 3D is the fourth part of the Wolfenstein series, a computer game company id Software, and Castle Wolfenstein, Beyond Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein.

Plot and gameplay

Spear of Destiny is like its predecessor Wolfenstein 3D from the U.S. soldiers of Polish origin William " BJ" Blazkowicz. He should snatch the Nazis, the Spear of Destiny.

The design and control has no differences to Wolfenstein 3D. Unlike Wolfenstein 3D Spear of Destiny is not divided into episodes and contains only 21 levels, with only 19 levels to be played to end the game. The adversaries are those of the game Wolfenstein 3D identical. Only when the bosses have made changes. So take for example a so-called Trans Big or Over Mutant in appearance.

Unlike Wolfenstein 3D no shareware version was released for Spear of Destiny.

Level

In Spear of Destiny, there are 21 levels, including two secret levels. These can be divided into four chapters.

  • Chapter 1: tunnel ( tunnel )
  • Chapter 2: Dungeons ( dungeons )
  • Chapter 3: Castle ( Castle )
  • Chapter 4: Ramparts ( fortifications)

At the end of each chapter, the player must defeat a boss.

The add-ons for Spear of Destiny Return to Danger and Ultimate Challenge were published by FormGen Corporation in May 1994. These have the gameplay to no differences, however, contain other maps and textures.
