Special mark

The special character (german: special mark) is a navigation mark, which is used to buoyage of waterways. It is used to identify specific areas and locations such as warning areas or sites, fishing grounds, Excavator Bulk Set, cables, pipes, oceanographic stations, etc. The relative importance of each special character may be given as a caption or the chart or other nautical publications must be removed.

Appearance
