The barrier Lutter is a 11 km long tributary of the Oder between St. Andrew and Bad Loud Mountain in the Upper Harz.

Course

It rises to over 700 meters above sea level near the Gluckauf cliffs. Then it flows south through the towns of Silver Hut ( where the laundry reason leads ) and Sperrluttertal. Then the Breitenbeek opens (the largest tributary of the barrier Lutter ) before the barrier Lutter Bad Loud mountain reaches and flows to 309 m altitude in the Oder.
