Spieser (mountain)

The Spieser is a 1651 m high mountain on the northern edge of the Allgäu Alps in the district of Upper Allgäu region. It lies between the towns of Bad Hindelang in the southwest and lower yoke in the northeast and forms (depending on the count and nomenclature ) up to four secondary peaks ( Ornach, Jochschrofen, Hirschberg, Rossberg ) a larger group. The summit itself lies near the center of the group and is therefore often difficult to see from the valley.

The Spieser is no outstanding peaks, but one without much difficulty to commit Direction hiking mountain. Trails

The ascent is possible from different sides. From the hamlet of Obergschwend between the upper and lower yoke on the ski slope and the Spieserkar the climb is possible in about one and a half hours. From upper yoke from you can get over the deer -Alpe and the Steinpaßsattel directly to the summit. Also possible is the tour of upper yoke on the Ornachkreuz. Ski touring
