Spokil is a constructed language of the Frenchman Adolphe Nicolas from 1887 with further publications until the beginning of the 20th century.

Due to the overwhelming success of Volapük first saw in the following years, numerous projects the light of the world, who saw themselves as extensions or improvements. The best known of these are Idiom Neutral and Spokil. How Volapük but is usually referred to as a priori a posteriori hybrid, by some authors as purely a priori language Spokil.

Nicolas appear personally at the 3rd World Esperanto Congress in 1907 and defended his language. A committee should decide which system is best language for international communication. In addition to Esperanto and Spokil also Apolema, Bolak, Bopal and Parliament were under discussion. Ido, as a direct competitor to Esperanto, was presented at this conference for the first time.

The numbers 1-5 are denominated in Spokil "ba, ge, di, vo, mu".
