The Spolebach is about 12.1 km long left tributary of the north and Eder influx Elbe in northern Hesse Kassel district.

Course

The completely the nature park Hawk Forest running Spolebach rises at the western edge of the hawk forests highlands in the back woods hawk tops. Its source is located at the western foot of 516.2 m above sea level. NN watt high mountain surrounded by forest to approximately 365 m above sea level. NN.

Initially the Spolebach, the forest flows immediately leaving the Ostwald Ecker edge by lowering agricultural area in predominantly south to and through Balhorn (municipality Bad Emstal ), after which it curves around the northwest Elber Berger heights. He runs after crossing the railway line Kassel- Naumburg, through the existing since 1985 and approximately 12 ha nature reserve stallion meadow at Naumburg ( NSG-Nr. 163641 ).

Thereafter, the Spolebach flows south and empties directly after passing through the deserted village Immenhausen between the core city of Naumburg and the district Elbenberg to about 258 m above sea level. NN in Eder tributary river Elbe.

Watershed

The Spolebach rises south of Diemel-Eder/Fulda/Weser-Wasserscheide. While draining the current flowing in a southerly direction Bach on the Elbe and the Eder in the Weser, takes the northwestward flowing Limeckebach, which rises about 1.5 km north- northwest of the Spolebachursprung at Istha, a mile moderately shorter route over the mill water, the Erpe, the twiste and Diemel the Weser.
