Sportfreunde Eisbachtal
The Eisbachtaler Sportfreunde of 1919 are a resident in Nentershausen football club from the Westerwald. Besides football, table tennis is played with the polar bears.
History
The sports fans created on 1 July 1966 as a youth gaming community clubs SC Großholbach, TuS Girod - Kleinholbach, VfR Nomborn, TuS Heilberscheid and TuS Nentershausen. After the oldest clubs in the origin of this association indicates a founding year 1919. In 1972, the club played in the second-rate Regionalliga Southwest. Due to the establishment of the 2nd Bundesliga, the club in 1974 was classified in the amateur class, 1978, he was a founding member of the new amateur Oberliga West, where he stayed until 1986.
After the resurgence of 1990, Sportfreunde established again in the league and were repeatedly just before the ascent to the Regionalliga. Both in 1995 and in 1998 it was second in the Oberliga West. 2003 rose from Eisbachtaler again and after an apparent establishment in the Rhineland League in 2007 it was surprising turn in the district league down. 2008, the direct back in the Bundesliga after relegation, for which one had qualified District League Second. Three games to go was Eisbachtal in the 2008 /09 season as the Rhine Landmeister fixed and thus managed to return to the now fifth rate Oberliga West. The Sportfreunde Eisbachtal were a total of seven qualified in the past for the DFB Cup main round. Twice the club reached the 2nd round here, 1976/77 subject to Hassia Bingen with 0:4 and 1998/99, followed by a first round victory over FC Gütersloh a 1:4 defeat against Rot -Weiss Oberhausen before 2500 spectators. In special memory but remain probably the DFB Cup clashes against FC Schalke 04, the Sportfreunde were randomly assigned twice. 1979 subject to the Royal Blues with a goal by Klaus Fischer 0-1 before 6700 spectators and 1985, had to be almost beaten 1:2 with the club prior to 7200 visitors.

Well-known former players of the sport friends are Roman Weidenfeller, Antônio da Silva and Arno Glesius. Günter Breitzke, who played four years with Borussia Dortmund top notch, ended his career in the sports friends.
Stadium
The Sportfreunde Eisbachtal play their home matches at the 6,000 -seat Eisbachtalstadion. Until 1972, was played in the ' forest Stadium Großholbach ', which belongs to the municipality Großholbach.
