Správa železniční dopravní cesty

Správa železniční dopravní cesty ( SŽDC; German: management of railway traffic routes) is the national railway infrastructure company in the Czech Republic. SŽDC is a governmental organization ( " státní organizace " ) operators and owners of all railways in the Czech state-owned. The company was founded on January 1, 2003 through the separation of the state railway company České Railways ( ČD ).

The company's mission is to ensure operation, operation, modernization and development of railway transport routes.

History

Basis for the establishment of a separate infrastructure company for the state-owned railways in the Czech Republic was the Law No. 77/ 2002 of 5 February 2002. On 1 January 2003 it joined with the elimination of the SŽDC from the ČD in force. SŽDC managed since then except for a few side roads almost the entire rail network in the Czech Republic. Besides SŽDC exist in the Czech Republic only five other railway infrastructure companies, the railroads by public transport operate: Jindřichohradecké místní Railways (79 miles), PDV Railway (37 miles), SART (22 km ), Advanced World Transport (20 miles) and KZC (5 km).

Great efforts are being made by SŽDC, originating from the imperial time to rebuild outmoded Stations without platforms on the main routes. A successful example of this is ( Elbe Valley Railway ) station Decin on the main route between Prague and Dresden. Since 2008, Prague's main train station is located in a major remodeling phase, which should be completed by 2011.

Corridors

Currently, the rail network will be expanded in the four national multimodal corridors, ie parallel to the other transport modes road and waterway. These were also part of the Pan-European transport corridors. It was the Corridor No. IV Dresden-Prag-Bratislava/Wien-Budapest-Arad with the branch Nuremberg-Prague, and the Corridor VI Gdańsk -Warsaw - Katowice- Žilina with the branch Katowice-Ostrava-Břeclav/Brno. 2004 was extended to the new EU Member States by Decision n ° 884/2004/EC of the construction of the trans-European transport networks ( TEN -T). On the territory of the Czech Republic there are two TEN-T rail projects: No. 22 - Railway axis Athen-Sofia-Budapest-Wien-Prag-Nürnberg/-Dresden with the rail link Břeclav - Prague -Nuremberg and the section Prague -Linz, and No. 23 - railway axis Danzig-Warschau-Brünn-Bratislava/-Wien with the rail link Katowice- Břeclav.

3 rail corridor

4 rail corridor

Largely completed, the rail connection between the so-called first corridor (Berlin- Dresden ) Decin Prague -Brno- Břeclav ( Vienna ). Here a maximum line speed of 160 km / h was applied. An important part of the project was to better link the Prague main railway station to the light coming from the north route. For the four-track "New Connection" has been created since 1999, which went into operation in December 2008. International trains, held previously only on the peripheral railway station Praha- Holešovice, can now directly reach the central station. However investigated previously planned unspecified a new line north of Usti nad Labem was also to avoid the not expandable Elbe Valley Railway.

From this distance, the railway line of the second corridor Olomouc to Slovakia and Poland branches. The total length is 213 km.

The third corridor leads from the border in Mosty u Jablunkova about Ostrava to Prague and from there through Pilsen to Cheb. In Germany, following the railway line towards Nuremberg. This corridor with a total length of 665 km east of Prague has most of its route with the corridors 1 and 2 together.

The expansion of the western section of Prague - Cheb will cost a total of 55 billion kroner ( 2.2 billion euros ). The entire route is divided into seven building lots. In four sections May 2009 had already started the work. The section Plzeň- Stříbro has already been completed. The construction is scheduled to be completed by 2016. The journey time between Prague and Cheb would then be reduced from 3.5 hours to 1.5 hours.

A remarkable company is the construction of the route Prague - Beroun. Planned start of construction is 2012th The long-distance trains will no longer drive in the twisty Berounka where a meaningful expansion would hardly be possible, but combine the two places in a 27 km long new line. This runs for the most part in tunnels and is shorter by half than the previous track. The speed limit in the new section should be at 270 km / h, while the remaining sections of route expansion top speeds of 160 km / h can be rebuilt. This route is the first phase of the planned high-speed line Praha - Plzeň - Bavaria. This requires a high-speed line called Danube - Vltava -Bahn under investigation for the connection between Munich and Prague.

The fourth corridor cuts through the Czech Republic in the north-south direction. From Decin it runs parallel to the corridor one to Prague and from there via České Budějovice (Budweis) to the border with Summerau where there are connections to Linz. This is also currently under construction, for the time being, only the portion of České Budějovice was here but modernized to the Austrian Summerau.

Projects

The route Prague - Liberec - Turnov to be expanded in the future as well as Corridor V. Provided there is a partial realignment and expansion for a top speed of 160 km / h

Yet there are currently several projects to modernize the railway network also in regional traffic. The plan is about the expansion of the Prague- Kladno to a proper S-Bahn ( " Esko " ), it should be connected with the airport Prague-Ruzyně.

By 2012, develop between Brno and Přerov the first track for a top speed of 200 km / h ( possibly 230 km / h ). More rail lines are for this increase in speed in the discussion.

Economic data

The SŽDC scored in the first three quarters of 2011, a gain of € 72 million.

Infrastructure charges

For local trains the SŽDC rises on the entire route network 22 € / km. From 1 July 2012, this amount will be increased to the corridor stretching to 0.30 € / km.

Heritage, tourism and special trains will have to pay on the entire route network € 1.74 / km since 1 January 2012.
