SpVgg Stegaurach

The SpVgg Stegaurach is a sports club based in the Upper Franconian town of Stegaurach. It was founded on October 1, 1945 in the brewery wind fields in Stegaurach. The club has about 800 members in 2010.

History

On 1 October 1945, 57 people gathered at the brewery wind fields, to establish the SpVgg Stegaurach. The club started out in 1945 in the lowest class, which at that time was called circle class 2. 1947 the team was promoted to the Class 1 District Bamberg. After 1949, the district in Class B-Class has been renamed, she played eight years in it. Then saw him rise to the A-Class 1958/59, but you got the same again. Then came the revival, and the crew remained for five years in the Bamberg A-Class.

1965, the sports ground was inaugurated. The first game was played between the first team and a selected team from the Bamberg A-Class.
