St. Francisville is a town and administrative center of the West Feliciana Parish in the U.S. state of Louisiana. In 2000, St. Francisville had 1,712 inhabitants; until the official 2009 estimate, the population dropped to 1,481.
The city is also the birthplace of Isaac Johnson, a politician and Governor of Louisiana.
History
St. Francisville was built in 1809 by Johnson. It is said about the city "two miles long and two yards wide" ( "two miles long and two yards wide ", ie about 3 km long and 2 m wide).
