St. Patrick (TTC)

St. Patrick is an underground subway station in Toronto. It lies on the Yonge- University - Spadina line of the Toronto Subway, at the intersection of University Avenue and Dundas Street. It is named after the nearby St. Patrick 's Church. The station, which has a central platform, is used daily by an average of 31 490 passengers (2009 /10). In the vicinity are also the Art Gallery of Ontario and the Ontario College of Art & Design. It offers connecting flights to a bus route and to tram line 505

The opening of the station on 28 February 1963 in conjunction with the section Union - St. George University of Subway. Its full market value reached this section, however, only three years later with the opening of the crossing in St. George Bloor- Danforth Line. The occupancy rate was lower than originally forecast in the initial years. For this reason, the operation was limited, especially on weekends; he is at all times throughout the entire route only since 1978.
