The middle level is the distribution level, which also serves as a pedestrian underpass and contains some shops. It is decorated by the metal sculpture Rhythm of Exotic Plants, which was made in 1965 by the Polish artist Krystyna Sadowska. The metro trains run at the lowest level on a central platform. Since Finch is the last stop, the traffic is alternately on both tracks. To the north of the platform, a train be stopped if necessary.

At the same intersection commuters are also two paid park-and -rides with a total of 3251 parking spaces and a kiss- and-ride available.

History

The opening of the station on 30 March 1974 together with the section of York Mills - Finch. Originally, the entire section between Eglinton and Finch should have been opened a year earlier, but prolonged strikes made a careful stage planning necessary. Nevertheless, the subway caused a growth spurt in the then independent town of North York and the northern neighboring communities.

There are plans to extend the Yonge- University - Spadina Line Finch addition of 6.8 miles and six stations in the suburb of Richmond Hill. The medium-term implementation is currently uncertain because the line already encountered at peak times its capacity limits and a new signal system is necessary in order to allow more trains can run.
