Stanislav Ledinek

Stanislav Ledinek ( born June 26, 1920 in St. Lorenzen, Yugoslavia (now Lovrenc na Pohorju, Slovenia), † March 30, 1969 in Istanbul, Turkey) was an actor and voice actor.

Life

After the Second World War Stanislav, who was sometimes called Stanislaus came to Germany. In Detmold, he began as an actor at the city's State Theatre. After that, he was discovered in the revived film industry as a voice actor. Whenever it came to speak with a foreign accent actor, Stanislav Ledinek lent him his voice. Mexicans, Spaniards, Southern and Eastern Europeans, especially Russians, he was in Hollywood movies the proper accent. One of his main roles was the synchronous Cretan life in the strip artist Alexis Zorba. There he spoke the German voice of Anthony Quinn, whom he dubbed in Daring opponents. In addition, he lent his voice to Lee Marvin (a town in fear), Akim Tamiroff ( Topkapi ) or Saro Urzi ( The Great Battle of Don Camillo ). He had numerous supporting roles in German films. Stanislav Ledinek died in 1969 while filming a movie in Istanbul. His tomb is located in Istanbul, probably on the foreign cemetery in Feriköy.
