Stanislav Zvolenský

Stanislav Zvolenský ( born November 19, 1958 in Trnava, Czechoslovakia) is Archbishop of Bratislava.

Life

Stanislav Zvolenský was born in 1958 in the western Slovakian Government Area Trnavský kraj. His ordination took place shortly before the completion of his 24th year in the former Archdiocese of Trnava held on 13 June 1982. The sacrament of Holy Orders gave him the Apostolic Administrator in Trnava, Julius Gábriš.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 2 April 2004 as Titular Bishop of Nova Sinna and auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Bratislava - Trnava. The episcopal ordination was him on May 2 of that year, donated by the Archbishop of Bratislava - Trnava, Ján Sokol. Co-consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Slovakia, Archbishop Henryk Józef Nowacki and the Auxiliary Bishop of Bratislava - Trnava emertitierte Dominik Tóth.

On 14 February 2008, he was named Pope Benedict XVI. Archbishop of Bratislava.
