Stanisław Milski

Stanisław Milski (born Stanisław Hołyst, born February 8, 1897 in Czchów, Austria - Hungary, † September 4, 1972 in Warsaw) was a Polish actor and director.

Milski completed a ballet school in Poznan, but could not continue to work as a dancer due to injury. Therefore, he turned to acting and was seen in 1916 on the stage. From the 1930s he also worked as a director, from 1937 as a speaker and lecturer for the Polish Radio in Warsaw. From 1939 to 1941, during the Soviet occupation of Poland, he played in the Polish Theater in Vilnius. 1944/1945 he was a director at the Polish Theater in Vilnius. He stayed in Olsztyn (1945 /46), Białystok (1946 /47) and 1948 at the Classic Theatre in Warsaw. 1955/56, he served as director of Zielona Góra, and from 1955 to 1964 in Gdansk. From 1964, he was then at the Theatre in Lublin active.

He died in Warsaw, his grave is located in the Wawer district in the settlement Radość.
