The Stanley Black & Decker Corporation is a U.S. company based in New Britain in the State of Connecticut.
The name " Black & Decker " comes from the founders of parent company: S. Duncan Black and Alonzo G. Decker founded a small workshop in 1910 in Baltimore, Maryland / USA under the name of The Black & Decker Manufacturing Company.
Since the merger with Stanley Works in October 2009, the new company Stanley Black & Decker is called. The merger of the two companies was completed in March 2010.

Black & Decker GmbH
The Black & Decker GmbH is a manufacturer of power tools and accessories headquartered in Idstein in the Rheingau -Taunus-Kreis in Hesse. It was founded in 1958 and employs approximately 190 employees in Germany.
On Idstein site marketing and sales for all brands in Germany are coordinated, and eastern European countries, Switzerland and Austria looked after. In Idstein is also the global research and development drilling hammers, who has won several design awards, including the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Red Dot Award and the IF Design Award.
History
The German branch, the Black & Decker GmbH, was founded in Dusseldorf in 1958. 1964 brought a Black & Decker 2- speed drill for home improvement on the German market. In 1967 the factory in Idstein, Black & Decker produced its first power tools in Germany. In 1969, a 2- speed impact drill as first developed in Germany DIY device on the market. 1970 the company went into the garden tools market.
In 1987, Black & Decker in Germany the sales of professional power tools, the brand ELU, which was four years later integrated into the brand DeWalt. Idstein became the seat of global research and development department of rotary hammers.
2007 joined Black & Decker in Germany in the market for automotive accessory before.

Piranha is the brand for universal accessories and accessories includes segments such as drilling, sawing, screwing and grinding. The main target group are DIY and semi-professionals. Piranha drills are mainly produced by the Bavarian drill works.
BBW ( Bavarian drill Werke GmbH ) is a specialist supplier of drill, which produces its entire range itself. Target group are experienced handymen and professional craftsmen and industrial users.
