Stanley Mann
Stanley Mann ( born August 8, 1928 in Canada ) is a Canadian screenwriter.
Life
1951 's began his career with his first co-production. He co-wrote the screenplay with to The Butler 's Night Off, along with Anton Van De Water. There were other screenplays for television series and feature films. Greatest success was the screenplay for 1965 's The Catcher for which he and coauthor John Kohn 1966 were nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe. His last screenplay he wrote in 1988 for Hanna 's War. His late works Conan the Destroyer (1984 ) were known, the Stephen King adaptation Firestarter (1984) and Ken Follett's The needle. Guest appearances by him there was in Firestarter and Meteor (1979). In 1995 he was executive producer of The Class of 1999.
