Star-Crossed (TV series)
Star-Crossed is an American science fiction television series of the station The CW with Aimee Teegarden and Matt Lanter in the lead roles. The series revolves around a romantic relationship between a human girl and an alien boy who is integrated with six others of its kind in a suburban high school. The first broadcast took place on 17 February 2014.
Action
On September 17, 2014, a spaceship with inhabitants of the planet Atria crashed to the ground. The people considered this to be an invasion, drove the survivors together and isolated them in a military sector. Ten years later, is through the integration of seven Atrianern, the so-called Atrian 7, the relationship between humans and aliens can be improved in a high school. But people continue to distrust and Atrianer each other. Among men, so-called Red Hawks have organized the fight against the integration of aliens. On the side of Atrianer planning a trunk, the carryover to wipe out the human race.
In the School of Atrianer novel strikes the human girl Emery that saved him when he arrived ten years ago his life. Between the two develop romantic feelings. While the majority of the school rejects the Atrianer, Emery is openly advocated the integration. As Emery's father, a guard in the military sector, the father of Roman shoots unintentionally, tensions arise. Since Roman Emery wants to protect, he stays away from her. Emery then begins a relationship with Grayson, whose parents are the secret leader of the Red Hawks. When this reaches the public, Grayson's mother is arrested.
The father of the novel, Nox, who peacefully fought for the integration of Atrianer, had his own reasons for integration, for he had with the Integration Commissioner Gloria Garcia a secret child, half Atrianer, half human. Some carry live outside of the military sector and have let their tattoos that distinguish the Atrianer of the people to remove. The Atrianer live in symbiosis with a plant called Cyper. The plant grows from late Atrianern and has a healing effect in conjunction with Atrianer blood. Thus the Atrianer not end as lab rats, they try to keep it a secret. The carryover try Black Cyper cultivate a kind of Cyper that has for humans deadly spores in order to destroy humanity.
Production
The channel The CW announced on January 24, 2013 the Oxygen series pilots in order. The script for the pilot was written by Meredith Averill, who was responsible as a writer for the television series Life on Mars and The Good Wife. The project is based on a format of Daniel Gutman and the Spanish production company Isla Producciones.
On February 9, 2013, the occupation of Aimee Teegarden in the lead role as Emery was announced. Malese Jow and Titus Makin Jr. were engaged a few weeks later. In early March 2013, the role of the alien boy was awarded to Matt Lanter. That same day, Grey Damon got his role in the format.
On 9 May 2013, the station announced the production of a first season under the name of Star-Crossed.
