Starclimber

Star Hunter is the third volume of the novel series Airborn Kenneth Oppel of the Canadian writer, where it comes to the young aeronaut Matt Cruse. The novel, published in 2008 in the original English edition as Star Climber, published by Beltz & Gelberg. He concludes the three part series Airborn by the previously published books Airborn, 2004 (Eng. clouds Panther), and Skybreaker, 2006 (Eng. clouds Pirates ).

Content

Matt Cruse and his girlfriend Kate, who with someone else, however, is engaged, may with Star Climber, a space elevator, fly its first mission into space. Also on board are two other astronauts. One is Matt's friend, whose name is Tobias Blanchard. An imaginary test pilot ( Chuck Shepherd ) dies in the attempt, the star cable on which the Star Climber climbs into the sky patch up. The cable breaks, however, and the Star Climber haunts without course through space. When the captain loses consciousness it's up to Matt, Tobias and the helpful Kate Star Climber safe return to Earth. Kate has brought along with her colleagues SirHugh a copy of the discovered of them aliens on board and it flies back to Earth.
