Stary Przybysław

Stary Przybysław ( German name Pribslaff ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the municipality ( gmina ) Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) in the district Schivelbein.

Geographical Location

The Angersdorf Stary Przybysław with the lying in the middle of the box marks the former estate located two kilometers west of the county town Świdwin on the road to Oparzno ( Wopersnow ). Świdwin station is on the railway line Stargard - Gdańsk.

Name

The name comes from a bishop who called the place after his sub- princes Pribslaff of Belgard.

History

To Pribslaff the goods Friedenburg belonged (now Polish: Miłobrzegi ) and New Pribslaff ( Nowy Przybysław ). First mentioned was the place in 1341 and 1378 was mainly owned by the family of Wedel. In 1540 the place came by way of exchange of the Order of St. John and belonged to the Commandery Schivelbein.

In 1736 there were in Pribslaff twelve farmers and a Kossäten and two free people. 1839, the municipality had 13 farmers and a Kossäten and in 1858 next to a landowner eleven farmers and 15 owners. The Good farmed 96 acres.

1939 lived in Pribslaff 313 inhabitants in 80 households. The municipality area was 911.9 acres. In addition to an inn there was no trade or business in the town. The vast majority of community residents worked locally in agriculture.

By 1932 Pribslaff belonged to the district Schivelbein before this district Belgard ( Persante ) came up. Pribslaff lay in the district and registry office area Wopersnow (now Oparzno ) in the District Court District Schivelbein. Last German municipality mayor was Erich Müller.

On 4 March 1945, the site of the Red Army troops was occupied. Due to the fighting was no damage in the village. On the following days, however, 16 citizens came through murder and other atrocities died.

Pribslaff came under Polish administration and is today as Stary Przybysław to Gmina Świdwin and today again - as in 1932 - in the powiat Świdwiński, County Schivelbein.

Church

Parish

Pribslaff before 1945 was an independent congregation that formed with the neighboring communities Grössin and Falkenberg parish Grössin. It was in the church circle Schivelbein the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union. Last German clergyman was Rev. Martin Lüpke.

Today Stary Przybysław belongs to the parish of Koszalin ( Koszalin ) of the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

Village Church

The three-sided closed half-timbered church dated back to 1723. The wood-paneled tower on the west side wore a curly hood, which ended in a pointed roof. The church was demolished around 1970.

In Pribslaff there was a class elementary school.
