Stefan Baley

Stefan Baley ( born February 4, 1885 in Borki Wielkie at Tarnopol, † September 13, 1952 in Warsaw) was a Polish psychologist, physician and educator. He is assigned to the Lvov -Warsaw School. Baley was a member of the Polska Akademia Nauk and nonfiction author.

Life

Baley came from a family of teachers. It studied after graduating from high school in 1903 Tarnopol psychology and philosophy at the University of Lemberg, including Kazimierz Twardowski at. In 1911 he received his doctorate psychology in the tray. He then worked as a secondary school teacher in Lviv. Then he studied psychology in addition to Paris and Berlin, and from 1917 to 1923 in Lviv Medicine and completed his doctorate in 1923 in Warsaw in medicine. Until 1927 he worked in Lviv psychiatric hospital. In 1928 he became a professor at the University of Warsaw, where he headed the Psychology Institute. During the Second World War, he taught at the underground Warsaw University and worked as a doctor in psychiatry and children's hospitals. After the war he worked at the Universities of Warsaw and Łódź.
