Steinar Ofsdal

Steinar Ofsdal (* October 4, 1948 ) is a Norwegian flutist and composer. He is Professor of Folklore Music at the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Ofsdal occurs in 1967 alone, with a guitarist, with bands or orchestras. Since 1988, he makes music at the Norwegian folk group Bukkene Bruse. Ofsdal also composed for theater, film and television.

He received the Spellemannprisen 1983 for his album Hat Trick and 1989 together with the folk musicians by Midtstigen and their album Sjøfløyta.
