Stellan Skarsgård

Stellan Skarsgård? / I [ ˌ stɛlan skɑ ʂgo ː ː ɖ ] ( born June 13, 1951 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish actor.

Life

He became known in the 1960s in the television series Bombi Bitt och jag. From 1972 to 1988, he worked at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, he was occupied until the late 1980s in international productions. He has played, among others, in The Hunt for Red October, the role of Captain Tupolev and in Good Will Hunting the role of Lambeau. He was also shortlisted for the title role in Schindler's List, but went to Liam Neeson at the end.

He was married from 1975 to 2007 with My and the couple have six children, including the four actor Alexander (* 1976), Gustaf (* 1980), Bill (* 1990) and Valter Skarsgård (* 1995). Since 2009, Stellan Skarsgård is married to Megan Everett. The two have two children together.

In 2010, the Hollywood star was awarded the 10,000 Euro Actor Award The Europe of the International Filmfest Braunschweig.
