Stéphane Audran

Stéphane Audran ( born November 8, 1932 as Colette Suzanne Dacheville in Versailles) is a French actress.

Life

Stéphane Audran was primarily known for her films under the direction of her former husband, Claude Chabrol. Their first film together was cry if you can (1959 ), in which she had a small role. In later years they became the permanent protagonist of the Nouvelle Vague - director and thus one of the most famous French actresses. Even after her divorce Audran and Chabrol were occupationally related. Last 1992 in the film Betty, in which she under his direction an important role together with the daughter of her first husband Jean -Louis Trintignant, Marie Trintignant played.

Another highlight of her filmmaking was the collaboration with the Spanish director Luis Buñuel. Occasionally, they also appeared in English-language films.

After a short marriage with Trintignant was Stéphane Audran 1964-1980 married to Claude Chabrol. From this marriage of actor Thomas Chabrol emerged.
