Stéphane Yelle

Stéphane Yelle ( born May 9, 1974 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player. Between 1995 and 2010, he completed more than 1150 games in the National Hockey League for the Colorado Avalanche, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes on the position of the center.

Career

Stéphane Yelle began his career with the Oshawa Generals in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, before he selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1992 as 186th in the eighth round of the New Jersey Devils ( drafted ) was.

Before the links Sagittarius, however, had attended an NHL game for the Devils, he was transferred to the Quebec Nordiques, who were resettled before his first deployment to Denver, Colorado and has since been playing under the name Colorado Avalanche. Carolina got young players Cédric Lalonde - McNicoll and a sixth- round draft pick in return. Yelle completed another 17 games for Colorado and ended after the season of his career. He was then recruited by the Avalanche as Development Coordinator.

Yelle was considered a defensive- oriented center, whose strengths included his good skating skills as well as his lower numbers game. As one of the leading players of its respective teams, the attacker also had a higher than average face-off rate. As weakness were his little pronounced Scorer qualities, as well as its susceptibility to injury.
