1992 NHL Entry Draft

The NHL Entry Draft in 1992, the annual talent contraction of the National Hockey League, took place on 20 June 1992 at the Montreal Forum in Montreal, Canada, in the province of Quebec instead, which the draft was held for the first time in four years there.

A total of 264 players were taken in eleven rounds. Due to the collapse of the Soviet Union, so many players have never been pulled out of the Eastern Bloc in the first round. With novel Hamrlík Alexei Yashin and the two new teams from Tampa Bay and Ottawa had drawn level on the first two positions of two Europeans. Besides Yashin were in the first round even Darius Kasparaitis in fifth place, Andrei Nazarov selected in the tenth place and Sergei Bautin than 17 from the Russian giants Dynamo Moscow HK. Nevertheless, not all in the first round gedrafteten the expectations placed upon them meet, as ten players contested any 150 games in the NHL. In contrast, none have been selected in the ninth round Nikolai Chabibulin and in the tenth Anson Carter.
