Marc Lamothe

Marc Lamothe ( born February 27, 1974 in New Liskeard, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender, who was last until November 2010 at the Hamburg Freezers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga under contract.

Career

Marc Lamothe began his career in 1991 in the Ontario Hockey League with the Kingston Frontenacs. In the NHL Entry Draft in 1992 it chose the Montreal Canadiens in the fourth round at the 92nd location.

In 1994 he finally moved to the professional sector in the American Hockey League with the Fredericton Canadiens, where he played only one season. From 1996 to 1999 he leif on for the Indianapolis Ice. In the season 1999/2000 Lamothe graduated two games for the Chicago Blackhawks. Another stop in the National Hockey League were the Detroit Red Wings by 2003 to 2004. Overall, he completed only four games in the NHL, otherwise he played in the lower North American leagues. 2004 Lamothe came to Russia Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and brought it in the season 2004/ 05 to 64 inserts. After just one season he transferred to Severstal Cherepovets and played two seasons in 91 games. The 2007/08 season spent in the Canadian SKA Saint Petersburg. In Barys Astana from Kazakhstan, the goalkeeper was in the 2008/ 09 season in the Kontinental Hockey League newly founded under contract.

He then worked vertragslos before he was hired in November 2009 by the Pelicans Lahti of the Finnish SM- liiga. For the season 2010/11 Lamothe signed a contract with the Hamburg Freezers of the DEL. His contract was dissolved at the Freezers mutual agreement as early as November 2010.
