Mike Fountain

Mike Fountain ( born January 26, 1972 in North York, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender in his career some NHL games for the Vancouver Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators and later graduated long for the HK Lada Togliatti in the Continental Hockey League was active. Currently he works as a goalkeeping coach at the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the United States Hockey League.

Career

Mike Fountain first played in smaller junior leagues before he joined the Ontario Hockey League in 1990. Here he was responsible for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Oshawa Generals active. In the NHL Entry Draft in 1992 the keeper of the Vancouver Canucks was selected in the second round to 45th place. Subsequently, he was active for the Canadian national team at the World Youth Championship in 1992.

From the autumn of 1992 he played for the farm team of the Canucks that. In the following two years he was active for two clubs from Chelyabinsk - first for the HK Mechel and then for the HK tractor. 2006 Fountain returned to HK Lada Togliatti. Even as his team moved in 2008 to the newly formed Continental Hockey League, he remained on the team. In 2009, he finished his career.
