Moose Jaw Warriors

The Moose Jaw Warriors are a Canadian ice hockey team from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. The team plays since 1984 in one of the three highest Canadian Junior Hockey League, the Western Hockey League ( WHL).

History

In the summer of 1984, the Winnipeg Warriors from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, relocated and renamed Moose Jaw Warriors. After the team was sporting only moderately successful in its early years, she has only missed the playoffs twice since 1996. Her biggest success recorded, the team from Saskatchewan, as they the final of the Ed Chynoweth Cup reached in the 2005/06 season, after previously the Brandon Wheat Kings, Calgary Hitmen and Medicine Hat Tigers were off. In the final, the Warriors the Vancouver Giants subject, however, significantly with a sweep in the best- of-seven series. Subsequently, the team was unable to build on this success and missed the playoffs in 2007 and 2009 completely.

In the summer of 2009, the foundation stone for a new, larger and more modern arena was laid. The Mosaic Place opened in August 2011, on 22 September 2011, a competitive game was the season opener of the 2011/ 12 financial year held in the arena.
