Todd Warriner

Todd Warriner ( born January 3, 1974 in Blenheim, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who played for Kölner Haie in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Warriner was the first-round draft pick of the Quebec Nordiques in the NHL Entry Draft in 1992. Overall, he was selected as the fourth overall. After his junior time with the Windsor Spitfires and the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League winger played for various teams in North America, including both the Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Nashville Predators of the National Hockey League as well as some farm team in the American Hockey League. On 13 February 1999, the Canadians scored as a player of the Toronto Maple Leafs the first goal in the newly opened Air Canada Centre as a player of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

2003 Warriner decided on a move to Europe and first played in the Finnish SM- liiga for Jokerit Helsinki and in the Swiss National League B for the Forward Morges HC. As of 2005, played the aggressor in the DEL, first with whom he won for the Hannover Scorpions and from autumn 2007 for the Kölner Haie, in the first scheduled time, the runner-up.

Internationally

With the Canadian national team Todd Warriner reached the final against Sweden, but which Canada lost to the shootout at the Olympic Winter Games 1994. In addition, the striker was a member of the Canadian team that won the Cup in Germany 2005.
