1971 NHL Amateur Draft

The NHL Amateur Draft in 1971, the annual talent contraction of the National Hockey League, took place on 10 June 1971 at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, Canada in the province of Quebec instead.

A total of 117 players were taken in ten rounds. Two outstanding players were drawn on the first two positions. Clean after the yield point was the second, Marcel Dionne, the better players. From the way he played, but one of Guy Lafleur of the best players that ever played in the NHL. He was twice awarded as the best player in the NHL with the Hart Memorial Trophy. the Montreal Canadiens not only had Lafleur, but with Larry Robinson also one of the best defenders in the NHL history to twice won as the best defender of the league's James Norris Memorial Trophy, selected in this draft.
