Mathias Johansson (ice hockey)

Mathias Johansson ( born February 22, 1974 in Oskarshamn ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player who played in his playing days from 1990 to 2010, among others, for the Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League.

Career

Mathias Johansson began his career as a hockey player with Färjestad BK, for the first team he 1990/91 his debut in the Elitserien was in the season, where he remained point and impunity in three games. By 2002, the attacker ran in a total of eleven consecutive years for the Swedish first division club, twice with whom he won the Swedish championship in a row in 1997 and 1998. In addition, he failed in the 2000 /01 season with his team in the finals at Djurgårdens IF. In the senior level, he stood in part at the World Championships in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2006 in the squad of his country. In addition, he was in the squad of Sweden at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
