Stephen J. Cannell

Stephen Joseph Cannell ( born February 5, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, † 30 September 2010 in Pasadena, California ) was an American film producer, screenwriter, writer, actor and director.

Life

Cannell grew up in Pasadena, where he also went to school. Since he was dyslexic, he was regarded as a rather indifferent student, so it was especially the subject English unpleasant. Nevertheless, he managed the High School and attended the University of Oregon.

Soon he began to develop for television productions with writing screenplays and ideas. Thus he was able in 1966 story ideas to Cobra, you ( Mission: Impossible ), and in 1968 his first script for It Takes a Thief ( It Takes a Thief ) sell.

Cannell developed together with Frank Lupo, among others, the television series The A-Team and acted in the film version appeared in 2010, The A- Team - Film as a producer.

Stephen J. Cannell was married to his childhood sweetheart Marcia Finch since August 1964. The couple had originally four children, two sons and two daughters. Her oldest child, son Derek, however, came in 1981, at the age of 15 years, at an amusement accident.

Cannell died at the age of 69 years of his cancer.
