Stephen Wilcox

Stephen Wilcox ( born February 12, 1830 in Westerly, Rhode Iceland, † November 27, 1893 ), together with George Babcock, the inventor of the water tube boiler.

The common U.S. Patent 65.042 was evaluated by the Babcock & Wilcox Company.

On 16 June 1997 both were incorporated into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
