Stewart Houston

Stewart Mackie Houston ( born August 20, 1949 in Dunoon ) is a former Scottish football player and coach.

Life and career

Playing career

Houston began his career in the youth from the Glasgow Rangers. In 1967, his first professional station, the Chelsea. With the blues he was English Cup and won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1971. Between 1972 and 1973 he played for Brentford FC, before he was hired by Manchester United. For the Red Devils, he won for the second time the English Cup. In 1980 he went for three years to Sheffield United and the next three years until his career was at the end of Houston Colchester United. Internationally, he played once for the Scottish national football team.

Coaching career

Houston began his coaching career in 1986 as an assistant coach George Graham at Arsenal. He remained loyal to his coach to February 1995.
