Stian Kvarstad

Stian Kvarstad (born 25 January 1973) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Kvarstad his international career began in 1992 in the Continental Cup (COC ). In his first season of this series, it reached number 30 in the overall standings with 30 points. On March 11, 1993 he gave his debut in Lillehammer ski jumping World Cup. He reached the 41st place on the large hill. In the following two years he was able to achieve any success in the Continental and landed mostly on rear seats. Even in the World Cup competitions in his native Norway, to which he has been nominated every year, he remained without success. Only in 1996 he succeeded in Lillehammer with position 29 of the jump in the points. In the 1997/98 Continental Cup season, he was able to increase its performance significantly and ended the season in 8th place in the overall standings with a total of 538 points. For this reason he was from February 1998 permanent member of the World Cup team. When ski flying in Vikersund he reached on 28 February 1998 7th place his highest individual ranking on a World Cup competition. In the second ski jumping World Cup a day later he landed within the points. However, in the next three World Cup competitions in Kuopio and Lahti he was successful and no points. At the end of the season he was on the 50th place in the overall World Cup standings. It was his last World Cup season. For the 1998/99 season, he started once again in the Continental Cup, but there was also unsuccessful and ended his active career in 1999 as a ski jumper.
