Stijn Stijnen (2011)

Stijn Stijnen ( born April 7, 1981 in Hasselt ) is a Belgian football goalkeeper with Italian roots.

Career

Stijnen came in 1999 from the youth of the KS Kermt -Hasselt as a substitute goalkeeper in the first team of the club. A year later he moved to FC Bruges, where he spare behind Dany Verlinden and later Tomislav Butina was initially. On 18 April 2003, he came to his debut in the First Division in the match against KRC Genk, which went but lost 0-3.

His breakthrough came Stijnen in the 2005/06 season, when he had to replace the injured several times Butina.
