Geography

Geographical Location

Stimpfach is in the Hohenlohe region in northeastern Baden- Württemberg about 10 kilometers south of Crailsheim. Geographically and geological opens to the north, the Hohenlohe plain. Stimpfach itself has a share in the natural areas Swabian- Franconian Forest and Franconia height.

Neighboring communities

Stimpfach bordered to the north by the city of Crailsheim, to the east by Fichtenau, to the south Jagstzell in Ostalb and to the west by Frankenhardt. The northeastern exclave Sixenmühle between Crailsheim in the West, Kreßberg in the Northeast and Fichtenau in the southeast.

Community structure

The municipality Stimpfach with the self to the municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg communities Rechenberg, Stimpfach and Weipertshofen includes 24 villages, hamlets, farms and (individual) houses.

For the former municipality Rechenberg the village Rechenberg, the hamlet Bautzenhof, Connenweiler, Eichishof, Hübnershof and KRESSBRONN, the homestead Blindhof and the house belong Eichissägmühle. For the former municipality Stimpfach in the territorial status of 31 October 1973 the village Stimpfach, the hamlet Hörbühl, Randenweiler, Siglershofen, Sperrhof and armed mountain and the house has oil mill. For the former municipality Weipertshofen include the village Weipertshofen, the hamlet Gerbertshofen and Steinbach am Wald and the courts Hochbronn, Käsbach, Klinglesmühle, Lixhof, Nestleinsberg and Sixenmühle.

In the municipality Stimpfachs the disposed, now defunct villages Klingenhof, Langenburg and Schummenhof are ( in the territory of the former municipality of Rechenberg ) Burkeler, grove Häusle, Sable (castle stables centimes castle ) and Sulzbachhof ( in the municipality of Stimpfach before the municipal reform ) and Korneffel and Stöckhaus ( in the territory of the former municipality Weipertshofen ).

History

Stimpfach was first mentioned in the year 1024. After several previous owners, including the lords of Lohr, Stimpfach came from 1608 completely under the domination of Ellwangen. Stimpfach 1627 was affected by witch hunts. Margaretha Augustin got into a witch trial and was executed.

1803 Stimpfach was part of Württemberg. First, it was the chief official Honhardt - Stimpfach, from 1810 to the upper office Crailsheim ( which was renamed in 1934 in district Crailsheim, 1938 in Crailsheim district ) assigned. 1973 to 1974 it belonged to Ostalb. In the course of administrative reform in Baden- Württemberg merged on November 1, 1973, first the two communities and Stimpfach Rechenberg together and formed the new total community Stimpfach that was assigned by the municipal reform law the district of Schwäbisch Hall. On January 1, 1975, the new church was again united with Weipertshofen to a new community Stimpfach.

Castle Rechenberg was eponymous for the family of Rechenberg.

Partnerships

Stimpfach maintains partnership relations with Holzhau in the Ore Mountains, today part of the municipality Rechenberg- bees mill in Saxony.

Economy and infrastructure

The most important companies in the community is Gebr Schneider GmbH & Co.KG window factory, founded in 1950 as a carpenter with about 850 employees worldwide (as of 2005), of which 330 in Stimpfach, where the company is established since 1962. Is also based in Stimpfach is the confectionery manufacturer Hosta founded in 1949.

Education

Located in the center of Stimpfach is the Kaspar- Mettmann school. There is a spacious two primary school and a secondary school with single-compartment Werkrealschule. Across the street is the Catholic Kindergarten St. George.
