Geography
Location
Spruce Mountain is located in the natural area Swabian- Franconian Forest in the lower valley of the river red amidst the nature park Swabian-Franconian Forest in 333-490 meters altitude, about 22 km south of the district town of Schwäbisch Hall. History
Spruce Mountain was known before the renaming decision of the municipal council in 1872 Vichberg.

The Spruce Mountain station on the railway line Waiblingen- Schwäbisch Hall Hessental is weekdays daytime hourly served by regional express trains Stuttgart- Schwäbisch Hall Hessental or -Crailsheim/Nürnberg (except Saturday).
