Stöfler (crater)

Stöfler is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, southeast of Mare Nubium, east of the crater Tycho and west of Maurolycus. The crater is eroded, its south-eastern part is covered by Faraday. The interior is largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the German astronomer Johannes Stöffler.
