Strawberry is a census -designated place of the Gila County in the U.S. state of Arizona.

Geography

At a distance of around 20 kilometers, Payson is located in the southeast. Big Park is located approximately 50 kilometers to the northwest behind a mountain range. Phoenix is ​​about 120 kilometers away to the southwest. The Arizona State Route 87 and Arizona State Route 260 pass through Strawberry. The Tonto Natural Bridge State Park is immediately adjacent to the south.

History

The place got its name because of the many nearby wild strawberries (English: Strawberry ). The oldest school building in Arizona from 1884 is still preserved in Strawberry.
