Strobe Talbott

Nelson Strobridge "Strobe" Talbott III. ( Born April 25, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio) is an American diplomat, politician (Democratic Party) and political scientist. Talbott was Deputy Foreign Minister of the United States from 1993 to 2000 and is regarded as a friend of Bill Clinton. Known as Weltföderalist Talbott is currently president of the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC.

In the spring of 2009 he was a visiting scholar at the American Academy in Berlin.
