Peprilus paru

The Medusenfische ( Stromateidae ) or harvest fish are marine fish of the order Scombriformes. They live in shoals in the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific, usually near the coast over the continental slopes.

Features

You have hochrückige, laterally flattened body that are covered with small, slightly sloping roundhouse. The gill cover wear two short, flat spines. The fish have only one dorsal fin, which has few hard jets. Adult animals have no pelvic fins. The anal fin has two to six hard - and 30 to 50 soft rays.

Medusenfische feed on jellyfish and salps. Pups looking under the umbrella of jellyfish also protection.
