Strömsund Municipality

Strömsund is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Jämtland County and the counties of Jämtland, Ångermanland and Lapland. The main town of the municipality is Strömsund.

Passing through the municipality, the European Route 45 and the Inland Railway.

Geography

The church, which belongs to the larger area municipalities in Sweden, located about 170 km stretches along the lake system Ströms Vattudal on the upper reaches of the river Faxälven to the northwest to the Norwegian border. The northwestern part of the municipality lies in the Scandinavian Mountains, while the south-eastern part lies in the foothills, which is characterized by numerous lakes and is used for agriculture.

Economy

The largest employer is the church today. Industrial enterprises are located in Hammerdal and hoting.
