Strong peak is a small, pointed peaks of the Enterprise Hills in the West Antarctic Heritage Range. The 1310 meter high peak is located in the southeastern part of the group of mountains at the western end of a mountain ridge, which extends from the Parrish peak about 3 miles west south-westerly direction into the Horseshoe Valley into it.

Holt peak was mapped by United States Geological Survey as part of the compilation of Ellsworthgebirges in the years 1961-66 by site surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy. Was named the Summit of Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names by Jack E. Strong, a biologist from the United States Antarctic Research Program, who worked in 1965 at the Palmer Station.
