Strynø

Strynø is a Danish island in the "Danish Southern Seas " south of Taasinge between Langeland and Ærø. The island forms with some upstream, uninhabited islands (including Strynø Kalv ) own parish church (Danish: Sogn ) Strynø Sogn, which belonged to Harde Sund Herred to the Danish administrative reform in 1970, then at that Rudkøbing municipality in the County of Funen, with the municipal reform has risen from 1 January 2007 in Langeland municipality in the region Syddanmark.

The island has an area of 4.88 km ² and 202 inhabitants (1 January 2013) The island has a ferry dock with a boat harbor at the end of a 300 m long dam on the eastern shore. There is a ferry to Rudkøbing.

Strynø belongs to the Association of Danish small islands.
