The underground station Stuttgart University was opened on 29 September 1985, serves the development of the University of Stuttgart Pfaffenwaldring campus in Stuttgart- Vaihingen. It lies at the Stuttgart junction line, the main line of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. Neighboring stations are the Stuttgart Schwabstraße Station and the Stuttgart Österfeld station ( since 1993 ) and the train station Stuttgart -Vaihingen (until 1993 ). Is operated by the breakpoint Stuttgart University since opening unchanged by the lines S1, S2 and S3. The station has a small DB travel center.

Location

The station is located in a curve of the railway line and striking deep under the ground.
