Sub communione

With sub communione (more precisely: Musica sub communione ) is called in the Protestant liturgy and church music sounding during the distribution of communion in the Holy Mass or the Lord's Supper music. It may be vocal music or organ music.

In the Holy Mass has during the distribution of communion communion its place, originally a antiphonaler singing, consisting of an antiphon and a matching Psalm, from which, however, now mostly only the antiphon as part of the Proper of the Mass is left.
